
Shane Phillips
Biography
A trusted advisor, Shane combines strategic thinking with a client-first mindset. He earned his BSBA in Marketing from the University of Denver and graduated from the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton, reinforcing his commitment to professional excellence.
Clients value Shane not only for his financial insight, but also for his empathy, consistency, and long-term relationship approach. These qualities also extend into his community work. In 2004, he founded The Children’s Grief Education Association, which provided free grief counseling to more than 400 children. In 2011, he merged the organization into the HeartLight Center, where he continues to serve on the Board of Directors and leads a monthly financial education program based on his book, First Steps: A Comprehensive Guide to Financial Matters After a Death. He also facilitates a weekly GriefShare group at his church.
A strong advocate for youth development, Shane has served in multiple Boy Scout leadership roles and was twice named Outstanding Scouter. Shane and his wife live in Castle Rock, Colorado, and are the proud parents of five children.
